Fauna and Flora
Nona Rosa and surrounds boosts a wide variety of fauna and flora unique to this area. During May to July there are numerous amounts of aloes such as Aloe Ferox, Aloe Spesiosa and Aloe Africana flowering with the peak season being June.
Parts of this farm still have renosterveld. Come and experience this unique type of veld where anthills colour the slopes with lightbrown towers and the rare aardvark feasts on the ants at night.
Various types of succulents adds to the variety of flora one can experience while walking through the veld.
All along the river you will find Milkwoodtrees and Acacia thorntrees which give excellent shade in summer. Around the waterholes of the Slang River Malachite and other kingfishers feast on fish while hawks, fish-eagles and other birds soar the skies overhead.
Various types of wild animals, birds and insects are resident on this farm and can be experienced day and night by hiking or driving.
